Where to eat in LPA airport:
Caffé Ritazza is located in the public area of the departures lounge, opposite the Iberia airlines check-in desks. This establishment serves coffee, snacks, pastries and hot sandwiches 24 hours a day, and gives customers the chance to enjoy their food in the outdoor terrace facing the parking lot.
The opening hours of the rest of cafés and restaurants in Gran Canaria airport are adjusted to the scheduled daily flights, so they normally open between 5:00 and 6:00 and close between 18:00 and 21:00.
There are only three more establishments where you can eat before passing through security, namely The Garden -conveniently located right after the regional check-in area and before the security control-, the Surf Cross food truck and a bar sponsored by Tropical beer, both downstairs and next to the two arrivals lounges.
UPDATED: Soho Coffee now open in the departures public area in front of the check-in area for regional flights.
Once we are in the restricted area only for passengers with a boarding pass, we will enjoy a broadest range of options, all of them situated close to the boarding gates. Starbucks, Burger King and Upper Crust are among them, but so are Soho Café and Panaria, a Spanish chain offering healthy and fresh baguette sandwiches, natural juice and coffee.
UPDATED: Leon and its natural fast-food options can be found in boarding area C since late 2018.
For a last chance to taste some tapas accompanied by draught beer in the island, you are advised to head for Tagoror restaurant in Las Palmas airport, found in the boarding area for regional flights (ground 0), a unique opportunity to indulge in Canarian specialties in a relaxed atmosphere.
